Begin by heating the sugar and water in a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium low heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved. Then, keep an eye on the sugar and stir it every few minutes until it melts. Once the sugar has melted, remove from the heat and stir in the butter. The mixture will bubble violently, but this is normal. Next, pour in the cream and salt, stirring until completely combined. Let cool before serving or storing in an airtight container. Enjoy!
